Why Choose Bjornwoods
High Quality, High Value
We take pride in quality – manually inspecting the lumber and grading it for use before running it through our machines. This quality assurance process makes the best use of the lumber for each application and ensures minimal imperfections.
= better quality, better value, less waste
IPPC Certified
Our mill is IPPC Certified – a federally regulated mark used for shipping products such as pallets, crates, and dunnage. The result is heat-treated and stamped components for any product being shipped outside Canada.
= no problems at the border due to unmarked shipping components
Custom Specifications Available
While industry standard specs may suit most applications, one-size-fits-all isn’t always ideal. We are happy to discuss custom solutions to fit your needs. Minimum orders apply – contact us to inquire
= work with us to create exactly what you need
In-House Shipping
We have our own shipping department to delivery orders directly to clients. Whether large or small orders, we’ve got you covered with fast and reasonably priced shipping. Currently available to clients in AB, BC, and SK.
= avoid delays and hassles with third-party shipping contractors
A Proudly Family Owned and Operated Business
Bjornwoods 2009 Ltd. is a family owned and operated remanufacturing sawmill incorporated in August 2009.
It all started back in 1999 as a small, 3-person operation by Maureen, Merl, and Owen Bjornson in Fairview, Alberta. Since then, we’ve broadened our operation with new equipment, and facilities, gaining our IPPC certification, plus expanding with a distribution centre located in Medicine Hat, Alberta.
Currently, we are a three-generation family business employing 10 full time employees including the three original Bjornson owners. Our hope is to continue improving the business by
- • Maintaining a high standard of customer service and quality assurance •
- • Looking at further ways to improve quality, value, and efficiency in our production •
- • Working to reduce waste by repurposing offcuts and byproducts •
